While using FlexiTime products, if you encounter errors around pages not loading or not displaying correctly, it may be that your browser has cached an older version that's no longer supported.
This article covers the troubleshooting steps that can be taken to resolve any issues you might be having.
Hard Refresh
A hard refresh will force your browser to load the latest elements of the webpage, and should be the first approach to try.
Click into any of the sections below to see how to perform a hard refresh in different browsers, on both Windows and Mac systems.
Tip: Make sure you're on the webpage that isn't displaying correctly before performing these actions.
Google Chrome on Windows
Press Ctrl+Shift+R on your keyboard.
Google Chrome on Mac
Press Cmd+Shift+R on your keyboard.
Mozilla Firefox on Windows
Press Ctrl+Shift+R on your keyboard.
Mozilla Firefox on Mac
Press Cmd+Shift+R on your keyboard.
Microsoft Edge for Windows
Press Ctrl while clicking the refresh button in Edge.
Safari for Mac
Press Cmd+Option+R on your keyboard.
Clear Cache
If a hard refresh doesn't solve the problem, clearing the cache for the particular webpage is the next step to take.
Click into any of the sections below to see how to clear the cache in different browsers.
Click the three dots in the top right corner of Chrome. Click into More tools, then Developer tools.
With the Developer tools open, first click on the refresh icon in the top left of the browser to reload the page. Once it has reloaded, right click the same icon and select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
Once the reload completes, you can close the developer pane.
Note: this will clear all website cache data from Firefox, as it's not possible to clear the cache for individual websites.
Click the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of Firefox to open the options menu, then click Settings.
In the window that appears, click Privacy & Security on the left, then scroll down to the Cookie and Site Data section and click Clear Data.
Ensure that the Cached Web Content box is ticked. You do not need to clear Cookies and Site Data, so untick that box. Click Clear.
You may need to close and re-open Firefox for the cache clear to take effect.
Microsoft Edge for Windows
Click the three horizontal dots in the top right of Edge to open the options menu. Click More tools, then Developer tools.
With the Developer tools open, right click on the refresh icon in the top left of the browser, and select Empty cache and hard refresh.
You may need to close and re-open Edge for the cache clear to take effect.
Safari for Mac
Click Safari in the top left of the main menu bar, then click Preferences.
In the popup that appears, navigate to the Privacy tab, then click on Manage Website Data.
Navigate to the website which isn't displaying correctly in the popup that appears, then click Remove.
You may need to close and re-open Safari for the cache clear to take effect.
